Question: What is TANF Eligibility Requirements?

Answer: In order to qualify for TANF, you must be a US Citizen or qualify non-resident alien.   You must meet strict income and resource requirements (under $1,000/$2,000 in resources).

TANF program is for families with children and pregnant women who need temporary cash assistance.  Usually single, work-able adults without children are not eligible to apply.
